About Our Site

ExploreStemCells was formed to offer a unique reference point on understanding stem cell research and treatments.

Stem cells are a topic most people have probably heard about by now, but the concept can still seem foreign, especially given how the subject can be a complex and sophisticated one. At the same time, you're not alone. If you are finding it difficult to learn about stem cells, you should know that many other people share your struggle.

To make it easier for everyone, we have created a website that covers all you need to know about stem cells. With regular updates and a language that speaks clearly, we hope that you will understand the potential of stem cells and how they might play a role in your life.

We also recognise that stem cells tie in with subjects that are traditionally difficult to discuss in an unbiased way - politics and religion. Stem cell treatments and research provide each of us with a special opportunity to make an important, personal decision about the ethics of the technology and how we feel about its development and use.

We welcome feedback, ideas and questions about stem cells. Hopefully, our website will prompt a keen interest in stem cell research, which will lead you to share the website with friends, family or anyone else who is curious about this unique area of science.

Our concern was that there was no single UK resource for interesting features and practical advice on this subject.

Our features and articles are written by experts - who have experience, or a particular interest in this area.

Our Background

ExploreStemCells was founded by John Rowlinson, the founder of PtS.

John, through PtS, is involved in a number of ventures including software and property companies. A percentage of revenue from these activities goes towards funding ExploreStemCells and a number of similar sites.

Our focus is simply on having experts create the highest quality information possible that is widely read.
